Rachael A. Egge MA, LCPC

Rachael A. Egge is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Illinois and is certified in Perinatal Mood Disorders through Postpartum Support International.  She obtained her Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from Lewis University in 2006 and has been providing direct patient care to adults and adolescents for the past 12 years.  Rachael specializes in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMAD), infertility, eating disorders, depression and anxiety disorders, women’s issues and those struggling with relationship and marriage concerns. She also has a special interest working with mothers and fathers dealing with perinatal loss.  Rachael has experience working within many different settings including Eating Disorder group home, sexual assault and domestic violence community centers; hospital based mental health services, Workforce Development Center and the therapeutic/alternative school setting.    In addition to her private practice at Fireweed Counseling, Rachael also holds a position at Linden Oaks Hospital working with families experiencing Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMAD) during pregnancy, in hospital and after discharge as well as co-facilitating a group for women experiencing PMAD.  Rachael’s style emphasizes a collaborative and honest relationship in order to enhance your emotional, social and physical well-being.  She incorporates several evidence-based treatment approaches to help client’s foster self-awareness, reconcile emotional conflicts in a safe space, and encourage client’s growth and development.
