My name is Rachael Egge. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Illinois. I earned my Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Lewis University in 2006 and have been providing direct patient care since then. I completed the certification program in Perinatal Mood Disorders through Postpartum Support International, as well as several continuing education programs in pregnancy and infant loss. I specialize in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMAD), infertility, disordered eating, depression and anxiety disorders, women’s issues, and those struggling with relationship and marriage concerns. I also have a special interest in working with those who have experienced pregnancy and infant loss. I have experience working within many different settings, including an eating disorder group home, sexual assault and domestic violence community centers, hospital-based mental health services, and working with families experiencing perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMAD) during pregnancy, in the hospital, and after discharge, as well as a history of facilitating a group for women experiencing PMAD. I emphasize a collaborative and honest relationship to enhance your emotional, social, and physical well-being, while incorporating several evidence-based treatment approaches to help you foster self-awareness, resolve emotional conflicts in a safe space, and encourage your growth and development.
